• Possibly courtship? It's a comment on the social faux pas of gentlemen allowing a lady to stand to summon the servants (via the bell pull), rather than doing it themselves. - SchroCat (talk) 00:07, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

• See, that's something that a lot of people won't get without actual textual commentary. Unless there were discussion of this code of etiquette (something I can't see being very common now) in an article, I doubt this would have the EV (encyclopedic value) to pass. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 04:30, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
