Wrongfully placed city

[edit]

Bergen of Norway is not placed where it is supposed to be. The marked location on the map is that of the island Sula, Sogn og Fjordane. Please fix this in a future revision of the picture. --62.16.137.32 (talk) 21:20, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice is also in the wrong place. Ninquelótë (talk) 03:27, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New high speed railroad in italy

[edit]

Opened in december 2008, there's another high-speed railroad in Italy beetween Milano and Bologna, that should run at a max of 300km/h

Revert to version 2009-03-30T15:56:12?

[edit]

I believe the edit by Jolly Janner on 2009-04-18T16:43:55 should be reverted because:

Changes to Map

[edit]

I notice the railways heading north in Finland go to the edge of the map. should the map be expanded northwards to include the extremities of European high speed rail?

I also notice the colours used to mark line speed could be confusing for some viewers; I refer to the difference between 300 km/h and 320-350km/h. can you tell at a distance easily that Paris - Strasbourg is a maroon colour (320-350 km/h) but Paris to Lille is red (300km/h)? I can', perhaps a more distinct colour is needed.

One other issue, the speed kind suggests 350km/h is the maximum, but I believe I have read some lines in Europe are intended for up to 360km/h. I I will be totally honest and say I can't actually find a reference to this now, but if someone knows of a reputable cited reference to this in a wiki article (or elsewhere, then add it to the relevant article as well please!) then a change to reflect this might be useful.

Well, these were my thoughts on this graphic. I realize from the warning above at the top of this editing page that having discussion here is unusual, but given the massive and fluid nature of the information contained in this image I think it needs special attention. I have added it to my watchlist, hopefully others will too. Thoughts very welcome on the above. Olyus (talk) 02:01, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

British High Speed lines

[edit]

Is it really only the east/west coast main lines, the line to Bristol/Cardiff and the line to Oxford from London which have a limit of 125mph (200km/h)? Surely at least the line from Reading to Exeter is that fast too. Eraserhead1 (talk) 21:02, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
